INSTRUCTOR BIOS
| TERRY LACY |
|
 |
Terry began his career with 5 tigers, 15 elephants and a baby bear on a motorcycle at the Barnum and Bailey theme park Circus World. He continued his fascination of animal performance through the years in a bear suit with his portrayal of the Sugar Plum Bear for the Magnificent Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, as well as numerous additional roles during his 22-year-stint with New York City Opera Ballet (including a Griffelkin, a gentle fawn solo and the ass end of a horse). Further dance credits (of a less furry variety) include roles with Metropolitan Opera, Washington Ballet, Milwaukee Melody Top and as a performer, dance captain and choreographer for Carol Channing’s National Tour of Hello, Dolly. He even had a momentary diversion into the world of boxing with his choreography for Andy Kaufman and Blondie's Debbie Harry in Broadway’s Teaneck Tanzi.
Throughout his life Terry mixed the art of dancing with the mind and body centering techniques of yoga. With thanks to the wisdom, inspiration and generosity of his teachers Issac Pena, Keith Borden, Keith Wittenstein, Sandhi Ferreira and Edward Clark, Terry is now eager to share his animal roots of downward dogs, happy cows, unhappy heifers and the rest of the yoga menagerie. |
| ANGELA FILECCIA |
 |
Angela began her yoga practice eight years ago. After practicing in Indiana with Teji Dilly, she took her teacher’s advice and completed a teacher training program with Kathleen Flanagan and H.S. Arun in addition to workshops in Ancient Ayruveda with Sara Tomlinson out of New York.
Angela's interests lie not only in the health benefits of balance, alignment, flexibility, strength, and kinesthetic awareness yoga provides but also in the intellectual, spiritual and philosophical foundations from which modern yoga asana practice has developed. On a personal level, her practice nicely accompanies her other physical interests that include hiking, running, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and walking to the Sea Dog for happy hour. |

| ERICA SCHWEIKERT |
 |
Eri, as she is known to friends and family has always been fascinated with the wisdom of the body. After many years as a dancer she was led into the vast world of yoga. She is constantly being reminded of just how infinite this world is. Focusing on aligning the body, mind and spirit through asana, breath and awareness, she views every class, every day, as an opportunity for everyone to find the flow of grace within themselves.
Eri completed her yoga teacher training in Boulder, Colorado where she graduated from Naropa University with a degree in Traditional Eastern Arts and an emphasis in Yoga. During her years living in Boulder, she had the opportunity to learn from many wonderful teachers, yet she feels an ever growing gratitude for her mentor, Nataraja Kallio.
Recently returning back home to Maine after spending a few months in India, Eri is eager to share her passion for yoga as a lifestyle with everyone. |
